  20. Hmmm, well what I meant was that he also issues personal messages and greets
  21. to you as though he is actually trading.  The text actually reads (to me
  22. this is ofcourse but others have commented the same) that he is actively
  23. working *with* you not just expanding on a utility you have made.

  38. Well, its not just the technical aspect.  I admit that I am not a really
  39. brilliant coder and I have had my code slagged from time to time.
  40. But what "annoys" me (for want of a better word) about Ewens work is that he
  41. makes some, err, odd claims.  For example, in the last demo I saw from him
  42. (A Lesson Is Psychology) he claims to be the first person to have a small
  43. part running during decompression.

  45. Now, I could be wrong, but surely this is the mainstay of *any* trackmo or
  46. dentro?!  Each part depacks whilst the last is running.  Of course Ewen
  47. may mean that he is the first to have a part going on the *initial* depack,
  48. but if thats what he means then I still have a demo from about 1986 that
  49. does the same and besides which the only thing this adds to the demo is a
  50. small snatch of the old Alien music and a chunk of unpacked data after
  51. the main file.

  53. The other strange thing Ewen wrote was that he thought that we should all
  54. stop using DYCP.  During a DYCP part.  Now, again he is entitled to his
  55. opinion, and to a degree I agreed with him.  But it smacks a bit of "*I* am
  56. allowed to do DYCP but you are not" which is a tad arrogant surely?!

  58. As for KF's comment, I don't believe he was referring to Ewens code in his
  59. post.  Ewen and the Triad guys have been exchanging insults for a while now
  60. with Ewen even going as far as wishing Jerry dead.

  74. There, thats better!  I do tend to forget how big an audience there is out
  75. there and how easy it is to misinterpret what I write!!

  77. I have never said I *hated* Ewen, this is a very strong word.  But his
  78. actions are a bit more than a little antisocial.  He has tried to ruin Russ
  79. Michaels business, asked Jerry of Triad why he isn't dead yet (subtle) and
  80. taken over someone elses crew without permission.

  82. I *don't* hate him, but he what he says does get up my nose and those of
  83. several other people.  All I was doing initially was establishing that he
  84. had infact taken over G*P without permission from its previous owners, which
  85. he has, and in your own case making you aware of what Ewen is claiming.

  87. Obviously you knew and I'll say sorry for going over old ground, but I still
  88. feel that he has committed a major faux pas in taking the Genesis name.
  89. I may be alone on this but if I am and nobody can see a problem with this
  90. I'd like to re-start the 1001 crew, please! =-)
